East Sheen officers disrupting criminal activity in relation to vehicle crime

PC Sokhi and PCSO Donaldson were on patrol during a late shift when they came across 2 x MALES on a MOPED interfering with another motorcycle. As the 2 x MALES noticed officers at the scene, they attempted to get away from the location on the MOPED that they were on however officers managed to fight them off where both MALES escaped the area leaving both motorbikes at the location.  

Officers at the scene were able to carry out checks on both bikes that had been recovered and were able to identify that the MOPED had actually come to Police notice previously used in other crimes and the 2nd motorcycle recovered was a large 1200cc BMW brand which had been recently stolen and officers were able to get this back to its owner.

It was a good result for local officers getting a MOPED of the streets which was on false plates being used for a number of criminal activities and also to get another recently stolen bike back to its owner.
